WHO WE ARE

Dallas County Young Democrats is the official Texas Young Democrats chapter in Dallas County, working to engage our fellow young residents and empower our members to create the change we want to see for our community.

WHAT WE DO

  • Empowering our members to advocate for themselves and their communities starts with becoming well-informed about our political system and the roles we all play as citizens and leaders. At our monthly members meeting, we host a panel of speakers who dive deep into various topics from housing to upcoming elections. These discussions go beyond the usual focus on candidates and campaigns, exploring the responsibilities of elected officials, the workings of political bodies, the decision-making process for running for office or joining a campaign as staff, and much more.

  • Young Democrats are present in every neighborhood, city, and district across Dallas County. As we expand our membership and create new opportunities for young people to advocate for themselves, it's crucial that we engage with every community, connecting with the young individuals who live, work, and take a stand there.

  • At Dallas Young Dems, we host monthly happy hours and larger gatherings across the county. We believe these events provide an opportunity for newcomers to meet our members and build connections. Our monthly meetings offer us a chance to socialize, discover synergies in our efforts, and unwind with others who understand the demands of our work.
